Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Prometheon Electrical Solutions Ltd (trading as Prometheon Electrical Solutions) is an independent electrical contractor based in Flintshire. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17495549). Registered office: Glas Y Dorlan, Pen Y Cefn Road, Caerwys, Mold, CH7 5BE.

For any question about your personal information, contact Nathan Creevy by email at nathancreevy@outlook.com or by phone on 07842 492371.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us when you get in touch through our website enquiry form, by phone, by email or on WhatsApp, and when we carry out work for you. This may include:

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The address of the property where the work is needed
  • Details of the work you need, and any photos or information you send us about your property or electrical installation
  • Records of quotations, invoices, payments and the certificates we issue for your job
  • Photographs taken during or after the work for installation records, certification and quality-control purposes (see clause 13 of our Terms and Conditions). We will not use these for marketing without your permission.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record basic technical information when you visit (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running securely.

3. How We Use Your Information and Our Lawful Bases

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we must have a lawful basis for using your information. We use it to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and give you a quotation (legitimate interests, and steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract)
  • Arrange, carry out and invoice the work you have agreed (performance of a contract)
  • Issue certificates and keep records of the work we have done, including photographs (legal obligation and legitimate interests in keeping accurate records of electrical work)
  • Keep financial and tax records (legal obligation)
  • Deal with any questions, concerns or complaints about our work (legitimate interests)
  • Keep our website secure and working properly (legitimate interests)

Where we rely on your consent, for example to use photographs of your installation for marketing, we will ask you first and you can withdraw your consent at any time. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We only share your information where we need to. This may include:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as our website host, our customer relationship management (CRM) system and our phone, email and messaging providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Suppliers, and building control or other regulatory bodies, only where this is needed to supply equipment for your job or to register or certify the work we have carried out.
  • Our accountant, or authorities such as HMRC, where we are required to by law.

Some of our service providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the protections required by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Enquiries that do not lead to any work are kept for up to 12 months.
  • If we carry out work for you, we keep job records, invoices and certificates for up to 6 years after the work is finished, to meet our legal and tax obligations and to deal with any later questions about the work.

After this, we delete or securely destroy the information.

6. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
  • Ask for information you gave us to be passed to you or another organisation in a commonly used format, where this applies
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, contact us at nathancreevy@outlook.com. We will respond within one month.

7. Cookies and Third-Party Content

We do not use advertising cookies on this website. Some parts of the site are provided by third parties, which may set their own cookies or receive technical information such as your IP address when the page loads:

  • Embedded Google Maps, used to show the area we cover
  • Fonts loaded from Google's servers
  • Our online enquiry form is provided by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel), the customer relationship management (CRM) system we use to manage enquiries, and it may set cookies needed for the form to work. Details you submit are stored in that system so we can reply to you. If we add website analytics or a chat widget, the provider of that service may set cookies to make it work or to measure how the site is used. We will update this policy when we do.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop some embedded content, such as the map, from working.

8. Keeping Your Information Safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including using password-protected accounts and reputable service providers, and only keeping information we need.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
