EV Charger Installation

Home charge points fitted in around half a day

Home EV Charger Installs

Prometheon Electrical Solutions supplies and fits competitively priced home EV chargers across Flintshire, North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral. A standard install takes around half a day, and we aim to fit within a week of your enquiry. Many chargers can be set up to work alongside solar PV, and if your fuse board can't take the extra load we can fit a dedicated EV consumer unit.

For most drivers, charging at home is the cheapest and easiest way to run an electric car.

Every install starts with a look at your existing supply and fuse board, so the charger is matched to what your property can safely handle. If your current board isn't suitable you don't always need a full replacement: we can fit a dedicated EV consumer unit to feed the charger on its own circuit.

We plan the cable route with you, keep the run as neat as possible and test everything before we leave.

Got solar panels? Many chargers can be set up to work alongside a solar PV system and make use of surplus generation, so more of your charging comes from your own roof. Nathan will talk you through the options before anything is fitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

EV Charger Questions

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Flintshire and work across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral, including Mold, Holywell, Denbigh, St Asaph, Wrexham and Chester. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call on 07842 492371 and we'll let you know.

What are your opening hours?

We're open 7 days a week: 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday. You can call, WhatsApp or email, or use the quote form on the website and we'll come back to you.

Who will carry out the work?

Prometheon Electrical Solutions is run by Nathan Creevy, and Nathan oversees every job. On some jobs, such as rewires, he works alongside trusted electricians he knows well, but you'll always deal with Nathan directly.

How do your quotes work?

Quotes are free and based on the information we have at the time. They're valid for 30 days, and if anything extra is needed once work starts we'll explain it and agree it with you before going ahead.

When do I pay?

Payment is due when the work is complete unless we've agreed something different in writing. If a deposit or staged payment is needed, for example for a larger lighting scheme, it will be clearly shown on your quotation.

Do I get certification for the work?

Yes. Electrical work is tested on completion and you receive the appropriate certification for the work we've carried out. Our workmanship guarantee is set out on your quotation or invoice, and manufacturer warranties apply separately to the products we fit.

Are you insured?

Yes. Prometheon Electrical Solutions holds £1 million public liability insurance, so you can have peace of mind while we work in your home or business.

How long does it take to install?

A normal home charger install takes around half a day. We'll plan the cable route with you beforehand so there are no surprises on the day.

How quickly can you fit my charger?

We aim to fit your charger within a week of your enquiry.

Can you install a charger if I have solar panels?

Yes. Some EV chargers can work alongside solar PV systems and can be configured to make use of surplus solar generation, so more of your charging comes from your own panels.

Do I need a new fuse board?

Not necessarily. If your existing board isn't suitable, we can fit a dedicated EV consumer unit to supply the charger instead of replacing the whole board.

How much does a home EV charger cost?

Our home EV chargers are supplied and fitted at a competitive price. The final price depends on the charger you choose and the cable run from your board to where the charger goes.
