Electrical Condition Reports

Prometheon Electrical Solutions carries out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for domestic, landlord, commercial and industrial properties across Flintshire, North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral. We inspect and test the fixed wiring, record any defects with their codes, and give you a clear written report with a list of remedial works where required.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report, or EICR, is a detailed inspection and test of the fixed wiring in a property. It checks that circuits, protective devices and earthing are in a safe condition and highlights anything that has deteriorated or no longer meets current standards.

We carry out EICRs for homeowners, landlords and businesses across Flintshire, North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral, covering domestic, commercial and industrial installations. Landlords, buyers and sellers, and anyone with an older property all have good reasons to book one.

On the day we'll work through the board and circuits with professional test equipment, keeping disruption to a minimum. Any defects are recorded with their classification codes so you know what is urgent, what is recommended and what needs further investigation.

At the end you get the written report, and if anything needs fixing we'll explain it in plain English and give you a price for the remedial work. There's no pressure to use us for it, but we're happy to put it right.

Frequently Asked Questions

EICR Questions

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Flintshire and work across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral, including Mold, Holywell, Denbigh, St Asaph, Wrexham and Chester. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call on 07842 492371 and we'll let you know.

What are your opening hours?

We're open 7 days a week: 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday. You can call, WhatsApp or email, or use the quote form on the website and we'll come back to you.

Who will carry out the work?

Prometheon Electrical Solutions is run by Nathan Creevy, and Nathan oversees every job. On some jobs, such as rewires, he works alongside trusted electricians he knows well, but you'll always deal with Nathan directly.

How do your quotes work?

Quotes are free and based on the information we have at the time. They're valid for 30 days, and if anything extra is needed once work starts we'll explain it and agree it with you before going ahead.

When do I pay?

Payment is due when the work is complete unless we've agreed something different in writing. If a deposit or staged payment is needed, for example for a larger lighting scheme, it will be clearly shown on your quotation.

Do I get certification for the work?

Yes. Electrical work is tested on completion and you receive the appropriate certification for the work we've carried out. Our workmanship guarantee is set out on your quotation or invoice, and manufacturer warranties apply separately to the products we fit.

Are you insured?

Yes. Prometheon Electrical Solutions holds £1 million public liability insurance, so you can have peace of mind while we work in your home or business.

What is an EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is an inspection and test of the fixed wiring in a property. It checks the condition of circuits, protective devices and earthing, and records anything that needs attention.

Do you do commercial and industrial EICRs?

Yes. We carry out EICRs for domestic, landlord, commercial and industrial properties across Flintshire, North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral.

What happens if my EICR finds problems?

Any defects are recorded with their classification codes so you know what is urgent and what is recommended. We'll explain the findings in plain English and give you a price for any remedial work.

How much does an EICR cost?

The price depends on the size of the property and the number of circuits, so we quote each EICR individually. Get in touch with a few details about the property for a free quote.

How long does an EICR take?

It depends on the size of the installation. We'll give you an idea of timings when we quote and keep disruption to a minimum on the day.
