Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all quotations, works, installations and services provided by Prometheon Electrical Solutions. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Prometheon Electrical Solutions, and "you" and "the customer" mean the person or organisation we are carrying out work for.

About Us

Prometheon Electrical Solutions is the trading name of Prometheon Electrical Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17495549). Registered office: Glas Y Dorlan, Pen Y Cefn Road, Caerwys, Mold, CH7 5BE.

Contact: Nathan Creevy, phone 07842 492371, email nathancreevy@outlook.com.

1. Quotations

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotations are based on the information and requirements available at the time of pricing.
  • Any additional work requested by the customer, or work found to be necessary once works begin, will be quoted separately and must be agreed before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.
  • Quotations may be subject to change where unforeseen conditions are discovered, including concealed wiring, damaged cables, inaccessible areas or other existing defects.

2. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of the works unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed on the invoice.
  • Where a deposit or staged payment is required, this will be clearly stated on the quotation.
  • The customer remains responsible for payment of all agreed works and any additional works they have authorised.

3. Materials

  • Unless otherwise stated, materials we supply are included in the quoted price.
  • Product availability may occasionally affect installation dates.
  • Where a customer supplies their own equipment or materials, we cannot be held responsible for defects, incompatibility or failure of customer-supplied products.
  • Customer-supplied products must be suitable for the intended installation and meet applicable requirements.

4. Existing Installations

  • Existing electrical installations may contain defects, outdated equipment or wiring that does not meet current standards.
  • Where existing faults or safety issues are identified, we will bring them to the customer's attention.
  • We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing defects that are not caused or disturbed by our work.
  • Where existing equipment is kept or connected to a new installation, its condition and suitability may affect the performance and safety of the completed installation.

5. Access

  • The customer must provide reasonable access to the property and the areas where work is to be carried out.
  • Furniture, personal belongings and other obstructions should be moved before work begins where reasonably possible.
  • Delays caused by restricted or unavailable access may result in additional charges.

6. Making Good

  • Unless specifically included in the quotation, plastering, decorating, painting, tiling and other specialist making-good works are not included.
  • Electrical work may require drilling, chasing, lifting floorboards or making access holes.
  • We will take reasonable care to keep disruption and damage to a minimum.

7. Additional Work

  • If additional work becomes necessary, we will tell the customer before the work is carried out wherever reasonably practicable.
  • Additional work will be charged at the agreed price or, where no price has been agreed, at our applicable labour and material rates.

8. Installation and Testing

  • Electrical work will be carried out and tested in line with applicable requirements and the scope of works agreed with the customer.
  • Appropriate certification will be provided where applicable to the work carried out.
  • Certification does not cover unrelated existing electrical installations or defects outside the scope of the works.

9. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about the property and the existing electrical installation.
  • Telling us about any known electrical faults or issues.
  • Providing access to the electrical installation and relevant areas.
  • Getting permission from landlords, freeholders, planning authorities or other relevant parties where required.

10. Delays and Cancellations

  • Every effort will be made to attend and complete works at the agreed time.
  • We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, unavailable materials, severe weather, access issues or unforeseen faults.
  • Cancellation charges may apply where materials have already been bought specifically for the customer's installation or where reasonable costs have been incurred. This does not affect your statutory right to cancel (see "Your Right to Cancel" below).

11. Guarantee

  • Workmanship is covered by our applicable workmanship guarantee as stated on the quotation or invoice.
  • Manufacturer warranties apply separately to products and equipment supplied.
  • The guarantee does not cover misuse, unauthorised alterations, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or faults arising from existing installations outside our work.

12. Liability

  • We will carry out work with reasonable care and skill.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from circumstances outside the agreed scope of works.

13. Photographs

  • Photographs may be taken during or after works for installation records, certification and quality-control purposes.
  • Photographs will not be used for marketing purposes without appropriate permission.

14. Complaints

  • Any concerns about completed works should be raised with us as soon as reasonably possible.
  • We will look into genuine concerns and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable remedy.

15. Acceptance of Terms

Acceptance of a quotation, booking of works, payment of a deposit or the start of works means you accept these Terms and Conditions.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The terms that apply to a particular job are those provided or referenced at the time the quotation is accepted.

Your Right to Cancel

This section applies if you are a consumer (someone having work done for themselves rather than for a business).

  • Where a contract is made with you away from our premises (for example, in your home) or at a distance (for example, by phone, email or online), you have a 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days start from the day the contract is made.
  • You do not need to give a reason for cancelling within this period.
  • If you ask us to start work within the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, you may have to pay for the work done up to the point you tell us you are cancelling.
  • To cancel, contact us before the 14 days are up by phone on 07842 492371 or by email at nathancreevy@outlook.com, with your name, address and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
  • If you cancel within the period, we will refund any payment you have made, less any amount due for work already carried out at your request, within 14 days of you telling us.

These rights are in addition to your other legal rights as a consumer, which these Terms and Conditions do not affect.
