Holiday Lodge EICR near Caerwys

The Job

A holiday lodge near Caerwys needed an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). An EICR is a formal check of the fixed wiring, so the owner knows what condition the installation is in and whether anything needs attention.

What We Did

Nathan's work included:

• Inspected the installation: Looked over the consumer unit, sockets, switches, light fittings and any visible wiring for damage, wear or signs of overheating.
• Tested the circuits: Used a multifunction tester to check the installation.
• Checked RCD protection: Tested the RCDs to confirm they trip as they should.
• Checked earthing and bonding: Inspected the earthing arrangements and protective bonding.
• Wrote up the report: Recorded the results in a written EICR for the owner, setting out the condition of the installation.

The Result

The owner now has a record of the installation's condition. It is a useful document to keep on file for a property that is let to guests. More about our EICR service.
